I love a quote that says "People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost" -H. Jackson Brown-.
From my point of view this quote summarizes my idea of happiness, I mean, every person has his/her own idea of happiness, and this happens because everyone has a different background, different beliefs, different life experiences, etc. Each person has to his/her own idea of happiness and this concept can change along the years or as the result of a critical situation as the death of a beloved one.
I also think that each culture at some point, achieves the wisdsom to understand the real meaning of life. The indigenous people in Mexico, the Buddhist, etc. or some outstanding individuals can achieve throughout some periods or along the entire life this wisdom as the case of Epicurus , the Dalai Lama or Mexicans Chamanes.
Everyone tries to find a balance in his/her life and therefore happiness. However it is difficult to preserve this stage and therefore happiness. In spite of this we must enjoy our search for hapiness more than happiness itself because of its fugacity.
We are the result of happy moments but also of sad moments.
The problem in the Western world is that we forget at times the spiritual aspect that is also important, but I believe that at the end life will show to you what is really important and life will try and try. The longer you refuse to change the wrong way, the harder life life will become for you, but at the end everyone will discover the meaning of the life and the value of being alive.
This is my idea of happiness, I mean a continuous search, a continuous development and improvement of myself as a person, a continuous exposure to new ideas and, above all interesting and loving people.
